LeBron James wanted Oregon to tag in for Notre Dame at halftime of the national championship

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – As Notre Dame laid beaten on the mat after Alabama pummeled the Irish with 28 first-half points, Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James offered Oregon as a replacement to be tagged into the game at half.

Unfortunately, Phil Knight couldn’t get his jet gassed up quickly enough and Notre Dame did come out for the second half – and threw an interception on its opening possession.
