Auburn is 1-4 this season and 0-3 in SEC play, but Jonna Chizik, wife of coach Gene Chizik, is attempting to rally the Auburn fan base — by asking them to fight Satan.

Jonna Chizik took to Facebook to send a message of hope and prayer to Auburn fans in an attempt to keep them on the right(eous) path and trust in God's plan for the Tigers.

"Social media can be a very powerful tool," Jonna Chizik posted, while citing the Occupy Wall Street protests and the Egypt uprising. "Therefore, my humble suggestion is to create a VERY POWERFUL ALL-IN movement of your own.

"We have fans all over the U.S., and I think it is time that they RISE UP and snatch back what satan (sic), himself, has stolen. We serve a God who recovers ALL that 'has been stolen' from us, and there are times that He requires the efforts of His people to accomplish this truth.

"Just think about the effect it will have first for the players and their families who sacrifice daily but how it will impact the fan base as a whole."

Even though Jonna Chizik later stressed that she did not specifically say what Satan has stolen from Auburn and she did not want her words misconstrued, I took the liberty of compiling a list of things I thought the Tigers were missing:

• Strong quarterback play
• A competent running game
• Winning
• Coaching
• Defense
• Competitiveness
• The second coming of Cam Newton

Hey, right now nothing seems to be working at Auburn, so why not have the coach's wife use religious conviction to stir up the fans? Judging by some of the responses on Jonna Chizik's Facebook page, this has probably gotten fans more fired up than anything that has happened on the field.

At least Jonna Chizik didn't use her faith as a forum to spill all of the team's secrets like Kristi Malzahn did last year during a recorded luncheon with her pastor.
