The idea of paying college athletes is getting more and more mainstream.
Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel graces the cover of the September 16 issue of Time as the art for the magazine's cover story declaring that it's time to pay college athletes.
As you know by know, Manziel was chosen not only because of his stature as the defending Heisman Trophy winner but also because of the allegations that he accepted cash in exchange for autographs from memorabilia dealers.
Manziel's Time cover is in addition to his Texas Monthly cover (as a superhero nonetheless) and the myriad of college football previews that had him on the cover this summer. All that's left is the National Enquirer. Oh, please no. I just gave them an idea, didn't I?
