Jadeveon Clowney got pulled over for doing 110 MPH in a 70 MPH zone

Jadeveon Clowney was pulled over Saturday evening for speeding after police said he was going 110 MPH in a 70 MPH zone in South Carolina.

From WISTV:

Troopers say Clowney was pulled over in a Chrysler 300 around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night on Interstate 77 near mile marker 39.

Officials say he was immediately ticketed, but not arrested in the stop. No word on what kind of fine was issued.

He wasn't watching the SEC Championship? What kind of inter-conference support is that?

But seriously, 40 over the speed limit isn't a wise thing to do and we probably don't need to explain why. And sadly, given Clowney's expected entrance into the NFL Draft, this incident will be put through the Draft megaphone and they'll be faux handwringing about how it will affect his draft status. That's what happens in a football-crazed culture with four months from the conclusion of the college football season to the draft.

Clowney missed two games this season and had three sacks. He's a surefire first round pick, though the hype that surrounded him entering the season might have been a bit too much given the gameplanning that opposing teams gear towards him every week.
