Iowa State is auctioning off Paul Rhoads’ broken headset

Now you can own the headset of Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads — his broken headset.

That's right, the university is auctioning off this beauty on its website and it's autographed by Rhoads.

Here's the description from the Iowa State site:

This one of a kind, unique piece of Cyclone autographed memorabilia comes directly from Iowa State's victory over the then fifteenth ranked TCU Horned Frogs last Saturday. This headset was worn by Coach Rhoads during the TCU game. The headset is broken but it is signed by Coach Rhoads. This headset comes with a certificate of authenticity. Minimum bids and bid increments do apply.

While we debate whether this is really memorabilia worth spending money on, someone has already pushed the bid to $375.

I guess it's an interesting piece of equipment. The Horned Frogs were ranked and undefeated when Iowa State beat them and it was the first Big 12 game between the two teams.

Bidding for this rare piece of Iowa State glory ends at 4:25 ET on Thursday. So don't miss this chance to be the first on your block to own this broken Iowa State headset.
