University of Iowa linebacker Marcus Collins was arrested early Friday morning for operating while intoxicated and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Collins was pulled over just after 1 a.m. Friday for driving without his tail lights on, and after being asked to exit his vehicle by an officer, Collins forgot to put the vehicle in park.

The car rolled into the police vehicle but it caused no damage to either car. Collins, who was observed by the officer with watery, bloodshot eyes, initially said he wasn’t drinking but later admitted to six or seven drinks, according to The Gazette. Collins had a preliminary breath test of .137, beyond the legal limit of .08. Police said Collins had impaired speech and balance, smelled of alcohol, and was wearing a bar wristband.

Collins was released Friday from the Johnson County Jail. The junior reserve linebacker has played in six games and registered six tackles and a forced fumble this season for the Hawkeyes.
