Injured UCLA LB Myles Jack receives letter from USC AD Pat Haden

UCLA linebacker Myles Jack has earned the respect of opponents across the country with his stellar play the past few years. And after Jack suffered a season-ending knee injury a few weeks ago, he received a letter from Pat Haden, the athletic director at USC, UCLA’s biggest rival.

Jack posted an image of the letter from Haden on his Instagram account on Monday.

The letter reads:

Dear Myles,

I have admired the way you play the game of football for the past three years. You have proven yourself to be one of the Pac-12’s best players for sure. Your play and leadership have been amazing. I was sorry to hear about your recent injury and wish you a speedy recovery. Get well soon!

That’s a classy gesture from Haden.

Jack burst onto the scene as a two-way player (linebacker and running back) as a freshman for the Bruins in 2013. He has played mainly linebacker over the past few seasons and is considered a top pro prospect.
