The Illinois student section is empty on senior day (Photos)
Illinois honored its seniors on Saturday afternoon before the Illini took on Penn State. Unfortunately for those seniors, there weren’t many fans in the stands to give them a proper sendoff.
About 45 minutes before kickoff, here’s what the parking lot looked like:

That was a strong indication that the crowd would be scarce and it certainly has been.

Despite Saturday being the first day of the school's Thanksgiving break, the student section was still pretty pathetic:

Student sections tend to be late for an early kickoff, but the Illini’s student section did not filled out as the game continued.

That’s not a good look for Illinois (4-6) in its last home game of the year as it clings on to a chance at bowl eligibility.
