Herb Hand hilariously responds to Penn State student who asked for his daughter’s number on Twitter
New Penn State offensive line coach Herb Hand is one of the more active college coaches on Twitter and Thursday he quoted a tweet of his daughter that included a photo of her wearing a Nittany Lions jersey.
A Penn State student lightheartedly responded by asking Hand for his daughter’s phone number. Hand’s response was fantastic as he shot that idea down like any protective father would.
@CHRIStalBaller Sure 46 6'2 250 / my age, height&weight cuz that's what you'd be dealing with.

The student, Christopher Lorah, backed off a bit by saying he didn’t like his chances. Hand, again, had a perfect, quick-witted response by linking to a great Dumb and Dumber clip.
@CHRIStalBaller Lloyd Christmas has better chances. http://t.co/y5de32WQHS — Herb Hand (@CoachHand) February 7, 2014
Lorah, not to be outwitted, looked at the positive side of things, and Hand sympathized with the young man’s diligence.

@CoachHand Will do coach, it's pretty sweet to have a staff that interacts with fans/students. So excited for the season to start. #CantWait — Christopher Lorah (@CHRIStalBaller) February 7, 2014
Hand made sure that Lorah knew the exchange was all in good fun with a direct message later that night.
For the record, I sent the lad (@CHRIStalBaller) this DM last night after our banter. pic.twitter.com/TeQg1OFn3m

He has only been a part of Penn State's staff for a few weeks, but Hand is already a fan favorite in Happy Valley.
