Heisman Watch: UCLA’s Franklin steadily moving up the ranks

There are only two games in the books, but already several players have set themselves apart from the rest of the pack. Some, such as USC quarterback Matt Barkley, were expected to contend for the Heisman, whereas others, such as UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin have piqued interest with strong play.

It's a long season, but it's never too early to start thinking about New York and everyone's favorite bronze statue. Every week, the Doc will bring you its Heisman favorites and why we feel like a trip to the Big Apple might be in their future.
