All bowl games give out some kind of gift package to players, and usually they're similar. Some kind of a nice watch, some sweats, sunglasses, maybe a gift card or a piece of popular electronics.

But some bowls like to mix it up. Sports Business Daily released a mostly complete list of bowl goodies for the players, and while plenty of the lists looked the same, there were some interesting additions.

Here's the best and most remarkable of the bowl gift season from Sports Business Daily's list:

New Mexico Bowl
Deuce Brand watch, Oakley Holbrook sunglasses, Oakley fine knit beanie cap, Oakley Flak Pack XL backpack, Gildan stadium blanket, quill pen

Wait, a quill pen? Like, with the big feather? It's awesome, just to imagine some Arizona football player writing notes in class looking like he's Benjamin Franklin.

Belk
Shopping trip to Belk department store, Fossil watch

Not going to lie, until seeing this, we figured Belk was a car repair place. Since it's a department store, the shopping spree sounds a lot more fun.

Hawaii
Fossil watch, Oakley backpack, Tori Richard aloha shirts, custom beach towel, Pro Athletics shorts, T-shirt, performance T-shirt, hat/visor, calendar
It's gonna be so awesome for those kids at SMU and Fresno State to go back to their campuses with that beach towel. But the Tori Richard aloha shirts, well, those aren't going to look out of place on a Dallas campus or anything. We're hoping someone tweets us photos of the football players wearing their aloha shirts to class.

Military
Apple iPad Mini, Timely watch, beanie

Alamo
Apple iPad Mini, Fossil watch, $100 Best Buy gift card, panoramic team photo, Schutt mini helmet
Military and Alamo bowl tie for best prize with the iPad Mini. I mean, who's not excited to get that in their gift bag?

Meineke Car Care
Fossil watch, 32-inch flat-screen TV, belt buckle, T-shirt, lapel pin, backpack
Wait, wait, wait, Car Care Bowl. You don't just toss in "belt buckle" among all those gifts and expect us to gloss over it. This bowl is in Texas, so of course there's a belt buckle involved. This needs to be the biggest, most garish belt buckle ever seen (even the one pictured on the right, which we're hoping replicates what the players get, might not be good enough since it isn't shaped like the state of Texas). Nothing hits the 18-to-22-year-old college football playing demographic as well as a belt buckle. Well played, Car Care Bowl.

Buffalo Wild Wings
Gift suite presented by PAC Sports Division, Fossil watch, Ogio Mercur backpack
These gifts are fine, but where's the bowl sponsor here? Can we get a dozen traditional Asian Zing-flavored wings in the bag? Basket of buffalo chips would go well with it too. And maybe a tall Blue Moon for the 21-and-over players, in a spill-proof container of course. This is a tragic oversight.

Outback
$150 Best Buy gift card, Fossil watch, ring, cap, Outback Steakhouse gift card

This is better. Bloomin' Onion FTW.

New Orleans
Beats by Dre headphones, Fossil watch, Oakley backpack

The Beats by Dre headphones will be regifted often, because everyone knows that every single athlete by now has Beats by Dre headphones.

Russell Athletic
$420 shopping trip to a local Best Buy, Timely watch

Capital One
$420 shopping trip to a local Best Buy, Fossil watch
Presumably, the $420 figure for two different bowl games has to be some nod to the $550 limit the NCAA allows for bowl gifts. But it does seem pretty coincidental that the bowls both landed on $420 as a figure, wonder if there's a reason ... let's just move on.

"Hey Silas, here's your hair dryer" (USA Today Sports Images)

Sun
Timely watch, Majestic fleece, Top of the World cap, coin, Helen of Troy hair dryer

Finally, the Sun Bowl brings us the most random, best gift of the whole bowl season. The Helen of Troy hair dryer? We love this just for the mental image of USC running back Silas Redd finding that and trying to figure out what he's going to do with it. Maybe the Helen of Troy people are hoping USC quarterback Matt Barkley grows out his blonde locks Clay Matthews-style and they have an edge on landing him for an advertising campaign.
