Georgia Southern is serving students gator on Monday in honor of Florida win (PHOTO)

There's no better way to celebrate an upset than by eating the species of your opponent's mascot afterwards.

That's what FCS school Georgia Southern is doing on Monday after beating Florida 26-20 on November 23.

Students can choose from fried gator, buffalo gator bites and alligator sliders.

That tired cliche of "the fastest way to a person's heart is through their stomach" comes in to play here, but this is one of the best ways to get people fired up about your football program. Beating a much bigger and (once) mighty opponent does that too, so if you're a Georgia Southern student or alum, you better get on the train before it leaves the station.
