Georgia LB Davin Bellamy arrested for DUI Saturday morning

Georgia linebacker Davin Bellamy was arrested on DUI and speeding charges Saturday morning. He's the second Georgia player to get arrested in less than a week and the seventh Bulldog to be arrested this offseason.

Bellamy was pulled overand, per UGA Sports, was booked at 5:02 a.m. After posting bond, he was released from jail nearly 90 minutes later.

Both of Bellamy's charges are misdemeanors.

Tuesday, DL Jonathan Taylor was arrested on charges of aggravated assault. He was subsequently dismissed from the team. He was also one of four players arrested in March for "double-dipping" scholarship checks.

Bellamy redshirted last season as a freshman. In 2013 he was the No. 25 DE in the country according to Rivals and because of his size (6-5, 240), he moved to linebacker at Georgia. According to the depth chart at UGA Sports, he was the top backup for Jordan Jenkins at Jack linebacker.

The Georgia student-athlete handbook says that DUI is a two-game suspension, meaning that Bellamy could be suspended for Georgia's games against Clemson and South Carolina.
