Missouri defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson may have made amends with Georgia coach Mark Richt after calling Georgia's style of play "Old Man Football," but the effects of that statement will probably be part of Georgia's 2012 season forever.

The Bulldogs left Columbia, Mo., with a 41-20 victory and after the game went into the stands with their fans and started chanting, "Grown Man Football" and feigning old man injuries.

This was after the crowd had been chanting "Old Man Football" after the Bulldogs took the lead midway through the second half.

And if the video and the chanting weren't enough, the term "Grown Man Football" has now been immortalized on a T-shirt (that also honors defensive lineman Jarvis Jones), so that Georgia fans will never forget the quote that helped hand the Tigers their first SEC loss.

There's definitely a lesson in all this for Richardson and the Tigers. Even though Missouri was able to stay with Georgia for the bulk of the game, some poor play-calling, injuries and fatigue ultimately turned the game to Georgia's favor.

Missouri is a long way away from being accepted in the SEC and trash talk definitely won't further their cause. If anything, SEC teams will probably use Richardson's comment for their own motivation when they play the Tigers.

As the new kid on the block, Missouri is going to have to take its lumps, but perhaps in the future, Missouri won't provide the opposing team the stick.
