Frank Beamer and Butch Jones gave the command to start engines at the Bristol NASCAR race

To promote the Battle and Bristol, Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer and Tennessee coach Butch Jones were the co-grand marshals of Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway and gave the command to start engines.

We'll give them a solid B+.

Virginia Tech and Tennessee are playing in 2016 in the infield at the half-mile track in northeast Tennessee. Though we're not sure how much promotion for the game may be needed. Tennessee has already sold its allotment of tickets for the game and has requested more. The sold-out allotment? 40,000 seats.

Bristol Motor Speedway seats almost 160,000, so it wouldn't be unfathomable if the game broke the all-time college football attendance record. It's currently held by Michigan Stadium at 115,109 for a 2012 game against Notre Dame.
