Duke students can go to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl for free

If you're a Duke student, you've got a really big reason to make the trip to Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31 against Texas A&M. Even bigger than getting to see last year's Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel play against your team the game after this year's likely Heisman winner Jameis Winston did.

Free tickets.

That's a heck of a deal. Now, not every student will get a ticket to the game, but if the entire student body of 6,495 at Duke did, that's $584,550 in tickets. Of course, this is a great opportunity to show how marked up football tickets are, but even at half the listed price that's a good deal. And Atlanta is a reasonable trip from Durham at under six hours by car.

Students can pick up the tickets Tuesday and Wednesday at the ticket office at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Chick-Fil-A Bowl is the first time that Duke has gone to back-to-back bowl games after it lost to Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl last year.
