NO. 2 AUBURN VS. GEORGIA, 2013

This play needs no introduction since it was one of the iconic plays of the 2013 season and one of the spearheads of Auburn’s season.

And it’s a play receiver Ricardo Louis will never forget.

With 36 seconds remaining, Auburn was down a point and facing fourth-and-18 from its own 27-yard line. Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall threw a desperation pass down the center of the field and right into double coverage. Georgia safety Josh Harvey-Clemons went to pick off the pass when he ran into his fellow defender, popping the ball into the air and into the waiting arms of Lewis who was streaking toward the end zone.

The play gave Auburn a 43-38 win and kept the Tigers in the hunt for an SEC title and ultimately a national championship berth. It was considered one of the greatest plays in Auburn history until two weeks later when the Auburn returner Chris Davis returned a missed field goal for a game-winning touchdown against Alabama.
