Weather delayed Deondre Clark's decision but it didn't change his mind.

The four-star defensive end according to Rivals from Oklahoma City committed to LSU in a ceremony at his high school on Monday.

Douglass High School had been closed for winter weather last week, so Clark's official revelation had moved to Monday. However, there were reports that on Wednesday Feb. 5, National Signing Day, LSU had gotten his National Letter of Intent.

With the delay, there was some optimism from Oklahoma fans that Clark would bail on his verbal commitment to the Tigers, especially after taking a January visit to the school. It wasn't the case.

Clark's official announcement solidifies LSU's class as the No. 2 class in Rivals' 2014 team rankings. With five-star recruits RB Leonard Fournette and WR Malachi Dupre, the Tigers secured 23 commitments. Only SEC West rival Alabama has a better class. Clark is rated as Rivals' No. 8 defensive end and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Oklahoma.

Clark's brother, Stevie, was recently dismissed from the Oklahoma State basketball team Feb. 3 after a third incident since enrolling at Oklahoma State. Stevie Clark was arrested for the second time in less than a month for allegedly urinating out of a moving vehicle. Monday, Deondre said that he was trying to get Stevie to come to LSU with him.
