Hale, a freshman running back, fought with an unidentified player after a workout for players who don't travel with the team.
From the San Francisco Chronicle:
University police Lt. Marc DeCoulode declined to name the second player involved and was unclear on the circumstances leading up to the incident.
"It was one-on-one," DeCoulode said. He added, "We know who the suspect is."
Police would not say whether they had already interviewed the other player involved and declined to say whether charges might be filed.
Cal lost to Arizona 33-28 on Saturday to fall to 1-8 under first-year coach Sonny Dykes, who came over from Louisiana Tech. Dykes declined comment on the incident.
That five-point loss was also the closest loss the Golden Bears have had all season. Heck, it's the only single digit loss the Golden Bears have had all season. If you're going to joke that this is the most fight that Cal has put up all season, we're not going to penalize you, but we may roll our eyes.
