    • Missouri is moving into the SEC next season and it plans on doing it in style.

The Tigers unveiled new Nike uniforms not only for football, but also men's and women's basketball, volleyball and soccer during the annual Black & Gold spring game Saturday.

"The University of Missouri brand is one that stands for pride, integrity, social responsibility and hard work but until now, our visual identity has been inconsistent across various sports," Don Barnes, director of equipment operations, said in the release by the school. "With Nike's help we have been able to develop brand guidelines that honor our traditions and also reinforce consistency across all athletics. It was important to keep the Tiger at the forefront while creating consistency across our colors, fonts and numbering and we take great pride in unveiling the first five teams today that embody these important changes."

Missouri fans have been waiting for this unveiling for quite some time and it doesn't seem like they're disappointed. Missouri has done away with the "Block M" and embraced the Tiger logo. I think the helmet with the gold uniform is the best of the trio.

    • The Bobby Petrino parody videos are starting to appear.

I'm actually surprised it took this long.

This video, sent in by astute reader @magic_uno (who put the song together), plays on the Prince song "When Doves Cry" and is pretty good.

Warning: There is some minor language, so don't go blasting this at work or in front of the kids.

I'm sure this is just one of many parodies that will surface.

Bobby Petrino will not contest his dismissal or seek any of the $18 million buyout clause from his contract, Petrino's agent Russ Campbell said in an email to athletic director Jeff Long late Thursday evening.

Petrino was fired for cause after he used his position as head football coach to hire his mistress, Jessica Dorrell, for the position of student-athlete development coordinator. Dorrell was hired over 158 other applicants, including Benjamin Wilkerson, a former LSU offensive lineman who had endorsements from LSU coach Les Miles, Alabama coach Nick Saban, Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, Florida coach Will Muschamp and Tennessee coach Derek Dooley.

Per his contract, Petrino had five days from the date of his dismissal to dispute the firing in writing. However, according to the Associated Press, Petrino accepted ''responsibility for the events that led to the university's decision to terminate his contract.''

    • Earlier this week, TCU receiver Josh Boyce tweeted out what he thought might be one of TCU's new helmets. Turns out, he was right.

TCU tweeted out pictures of its new uniforms as it readies for its first season in the Big 12.

The Horned Frogs added a lot of black to their new uniforms and kept the gray helmet, which I really like. These uniforms definitely embrace Nike's cutting edge style, but they're not over the top and keep in line with TCU's past uniform changes.

No one knows how TCU will fare in the Big 12 next year, but at least the Horned Frogs will look good.

One of Notre Dame's best defensive players is headed out the door.

Defensive end Aaron Lynch, who led the Fighting Irish with 5.5 sacks and 33 tackles in 12 games as a freshman last year, is leaving after the spring semester to return to his home state of Florida.

"Aaron recently approached me about his desire to leave Notre Dame and return to Florida," head coach Brian Kelly said in a statement. "I've always known and appreciated the affinity Aaron has for his home in Florida.

"However, the stark reality is you can't make it at Notre Dame if your head and heart are not here. I am proud of the effort Aaron made in the classroom and on the field at Notre Dame. I wish him all the best in the future."

    • It's been two years since Auburn offensive lineman Shon Coleman was diagnosed with leukemia. He was one of the highest rated offensive linemen in 2010 and could have seen early playing time.

But just a few weeks after he signed with the Tigers, Coleman learned of his disease and had to defer his enrollment until 2011 while he underwent chemotherapy and radiation.

On Wednesday, Coleman, whose cancer is in remission, made his Auburn practice debut in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Clad in shorts, a shell and a helmet per the NCAA's acclimation rules, Coleman participated in football for the first time since his senior year of high school.

Steve Spurrier has never been one to mince words. No, he usually just says what's on his mind and we all get a big kick out of it.

      Thursday was no exception.

During a Q&A with ESPN.com's Chris Low, Spurrier let loose and no one was safe.

His thoughts on the game against Georgia moving from the second to the sixth week of the season:

"I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended."

Gus Malzahn said he was aware of Michael Dyer's involvement in a robbery last March, but that he's not holding that against his star running back transfer.

"I am fully aware of Mike's circumstances," Malzahn said in a statement released by the school. "He knows very well the high standard we have of all our players here at Arkansas State, and I'm confident that he will meet those expectations."

Dyer testified in open court Wednesday that the gun used by former Auburn receiver Antonio Goodwin in the robbery of five people was his and he loaned it to Dakota Mosley, who also was involved.

Dyer says his teammates asked him to go along, but he refused, "They were still talking about getting a "lick in" or whatever, and I told them I wasn't going."

"I tried to talk to him….to be a man with him… because you shouldn't do someone like that," Dyer testified regarding Goodwin's decision to use the gun. "Tonio was a good person, not like that and I know that night they seemed to take it a little too far."

    • The Bobby Petrino scandal has rocked the Arkansas community, but a day after athletic director Jeff Long announced Petrino had been relieved of his duties, some Arkansas fans decided to have a little fun with the circumstances that led up to Petrino's dismissal.

On April 1, Petrino was in a motorcycle accident and while at first he told everyone he was alone on the bike, it turned out that 25-year-old Jessica Dorrell, a woman with who he'd had an inappropriate relationship, was a passenger.

So, in honor of that, two Arkansas fans decided to ride their motorcycles through the streets of Fayetteville with two blond blowup dolls strapped to the back to simulate Petrino and Dorrell.

While I'll agree this is probably in poor taste, these two do get a thumbs up for creativity.
