2014 will mark a new era of Appalachian State football as the Mountaineers will join the Sun Belt Conference and begin playing on the FBS level. The move becomes official on July 1 and the team will have also apparently have some new uniforms to go along with the conference change.

Running backs coach Chris Foster tweeted out picture of the new Nike threads over the weekend.

I was a fan of the team’s old look, these are still pretty sharp and definitely more modern. I’d bet that the players are a big fan of the new look as well.

The Mountaineers open their 2014 campaign in Ann Arbor against Michigan. We all know what happened the last time those two teams squared off.

Michigan fans will undoubtedly have revenge on their minds.
