Aaron Murray's brother will be on the next season of 'The Bachelorette'

There's a college football connection on the upcoming season of ABC's "The Bachelorette," but it's got nothing to do with Kliff Kingsbury.

Josh Murray, the older brother of former Georgia QB Aaron Murray is a contestant vying for the affection of Andi Dorfman. Josh Murray is also a former Georgia football player. He was a strong safety and appeared in two games in 2010.

According to the Athens Banner-Herald, Lauren Murray, the mother of Aaron and Josh, said Josh left Sunday for California and is banned from all communication.

From the Banner-Herald:

“He left Sunday (for California) and had to give up all forms of communication,” Lauren Murray said.

That means no cellphone, no computers, iPads, not even a Bible, according to his mother. Murray was nominated by two family members from Philadelphia that always teased the 29-year-old UGA Terry College of Business graduate about not having a girlfriend.

We're not sure how a Bible fits into the "no communication" mold, but if it means no reading material is allowed to be a contestant on the show, appearing on it sounds even more torturous than first thought.

In case you were wondering about Murray's chances on the show, on the surface, they seem quite good. Dorfman is from the Atlanta-area and her father is a Georgia fan who was extremely happy to see that Aaron Murray followed Andi on Twitter in January.
