Sydney Moss, the daughter of former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss, broke a 23-year-old single-game scoring record by pouring in 63 points Friday in a Division III conference tournament game.

Moss, a 5-foot-10 sophomore with a mohawk, led Thomas More College to a 106-88 victory over Waynesburg in a semifinal of the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament. Moss' record-setting effort also helped keep her third-ranked team undefeated at 27-0.

Oberlin's Ann Gilbert held the previous record of 61 points since Feb. 6, 1991 against Allegheny. Moss broke the record with a pair of free throws with 18 seconds remaining in the game.

Moss made 24 of 41 field goal attempts and 14 of 16 free throws in the game to get her record point total. She also led her team with nine rebounds and six steals in 35 minutes of playing time. That's nearly two points per minute.

Moss began her career at the University of Florida in the 2012-13 season and helped lead the Gators to the semifinals of the WNIT. As a high school star at Boone County High School in Kentucky, she won every major individual statewide award in her senior year.
