Shot of the night: Gee McGhee drains 3/4-court shot for Chattanooga (Video)
Chattanooga remained undefeated in the Southern Conference by beating Elon on Thursday night and a 3/4-court shot from Gee McGhee at halftime helped.
McGhee scored 13 points and his banked-in buzzer-beater turned what would have been a six-point halftime lead into a nine-point advantage. McGhee followed up early in the second half with his only other 3-pointer of the night to stretch the lead to 12.
Chattanooga has won nine straight, with its last loss Dec. 18 at Alabama-Birmingham.
