Michigan freshman Derrick Walton Jr. made only three shots in the Wolverines' 71-70 victory at Nebraska on Thursday, but one of them came from beyond half court to end the first half and another proved to be the game-winner with 22 seconds left.

Walton finished with 10 points, one of five starters in double figures for the Wolverines who are tied with Michigan State and Wisconsin atop the Big Ten early in conference play.

Walton's game-winner was a layup off a give-and-go play along the baseline with Zak Irvin.
