Indiana fans distract free throw shooter by singing Christmas carols

Maybe it was the chill in the air on the eve of December putting folks in a festive spirit. Perhaps it was the sight of their team finally playing well again after two losses in last week's Maui Invitational. Regardless, Indiana fans reveled in the Hoosiers' 112-70 victory over Alcorn State on Monday.

During the second half with their team comfortably ahead, Hoosiers fans and members of the band serenaded Alcorn State's Malachy Onwudiegwu with a hearty rendition of "Jingle Bells" while he was shooting free throws. In addition to attempting to distract Onwudiegwu, it was also about keeping the fun going when the game has been decided with 14 minutes still to play. Onwudiegwu missed both attempts anyway.

James Blackmon Jr. was one of six Hoosiers in double figures with a career-best 33 points and for a night at least, Indiana was able to take the focus off the big picture questions about coach Tom Crean and his future and anjoy a fun win.

This was fun, too.
