If Xavier survives Iowa in the first round, the Musketeers will meet either Seton Hall or Alabama in the semifinals, while Clemson will face either St. Peters or Old Dominion if it defeats Long Beach State in its opener.

• Reason No. 36,543 why Kentucky basketball is back: At least 30 percent of all Lexington households tuned in to watch SEC games against LSU, Tennessee and Georgia, whereas the highest-rated Olympic event, the opening ceremonies, only drew 24 percent. "While the Olympics certainly did well, there's just no beating UK basketball as a strong lead-in," WKYT news director Robert Thomas said. "On the days or evenings when we had a game leading into news, it was a tremendous boost."
