1. The buzz from Monday's Kansas-West Virginia game had less to do with the Jayhawks' 61-56 victory and more to do with what they were wearing. Kansas donned new "monochromatic" Adidas jerseys with blue tops, shorts, sneakers, lettering and numerals. "We don’t have to burn ’em since we won," Bill Self told the Lawrence Journal-World. Too bad. From the reaction on social media, TV viewers who couldn't decipher players' jersey numbers thought a postgame bonfire would have been appropriate.

2. If Jarnell Stokes is going to become the "elite" player Cuonzo Martin predicted he'd be this season, perhaps Saturday's win over Alabama will be remembered as the Tennessee sophomore's breakthrough game. Stokes, who has encountered frequent double teams in the absence of Jeronne Maymon, scored 15 points, pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds and made a key late defensive stand.

3. In case any Kentucky fans are dying for a piece of memorabilia to commemorate the Wildcats' riveting five-point win over last-place LSU on Saturday, John Calipari has an option for you. Calipari is auctioning an autographed pair of Nike sneakers that he wore in the game, the proceeds from which will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer.

4. The right ankle injury Michigan forward Jordan Morgan suffered during Sunday's win over Illinois isn't as severe as it looked when he went down in a heap during the opening minutes of the game. "We don't think there's any break (in his ankle) from the X-rays," Michigan coach John Beilein said Monday night on his weekly radio show. "It's a sprain."

5. If the demise of the Kentucky-Indiana series is a blow to college basketball, then at least the sport will benefit from the Wildcats renewing a series with another fellow blue blood. Kentucky and North Carolina agreed to a two-year series with the Tar Heels hosting the Wildcats on Dec. 14, and visiting Lexington during the 2014-15 season. The two schools had met 12 straight years before a one-year hiatus this season.

This isn't college hoops, but it's pretty funny. Check out what happens during a professional game in Russia when a player hits his coach with a pass instead of one of his teammates.

"I’m not sure even he was the presence Noel is at the basket defensively. Completely changes the game. Playing with a lot of confidence. And you can see, a lot like Davis last year, as the season is getting further along, that kid is growing by leaps and bounds offensively as well." -- Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy on the differences between Anthony Davis and Nerlens Noel.
