San Diego State is giving No. 1 seed Arizona all it can handle in a Sweet 16 matchup in Anaheim, but Wildcats freshman forward Aaron Gordon is doing all he can to help keep Arizona’s season alive.

The Wildcats trailed SDSU 40-36 at the 14:32 mark of the second half when the Aztecs’ Josh Davis turned the ball over. Arizona got out on the fast break and as sophomore guard Gabe York approached the three-point line he saw Gordon streaking toward the basket.

He lobbed the ball up toward Gordon, who reached behind his head to grab the ball with one hand and smoothly slam it home to bring the crowd to its feet.

The dunk ended up being a spark for the Wildcats, as they grinded out a tough win in the second half, 70-64.

Gordon, fellow freshman Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Pac-12 player of the year Nick Johnson all scored 15 points to lead the Wildcats, while point guard T.J. McConnell added 11.
