Tennessee State guard nearly leaps 6-foot-7 defender on soaring dunk

Tennessee State has lost all but one game against Division I competition so far this season, but guard Pat Miller gave the Tigers the rare chance to smile Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-1 guard raced down the right side of the floor in transition, took one dribble after receiving a pass on the right wing and finished with a soaring jam over late-arriving Middle Tennessee defender Neiko Hunter. Miller didn't fully clear Hunter, but his knees were as high as the 6-foot-7 forward's chin.

Though Miller finished with 22 points, it was Hunter who got the last laugh, as so often happens to Tennessee State. Hunter tallied 19 points and Middle Tennessee won 74-66 to improve to 10-5 this season.
