Bhullar is a freshman for the Aggies and he's no meager role player. He had 16 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots in the championship game win.
Bhullar towers over guys who generally tower over the rest of us. Some of the photos taken of him in action over the course of the year look, at first, like they might have been doctored. He is massive and obviously a big part of why the Aggies have won 24 games this season.
A little background on Bhullar. He is Canadian, born in Toronto. He attended a prep school before enrolling at New Mexico State and he averaged nearly a triple-double playing at The Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pa., in 2009-10. He has also played for the Canadian developmental teams in international tournaments.
Bhullar went into the title game as the Aggies' fourth leading scorer averaging 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds. This is the second consecutive year New Mexico State has advanced to the tournament. The Aggies lost in the first round last year to Indiana.
