Cheerleader sinks incredible half-court shot in mid-flip for second time

If anyone thought Ashlee Arnau's amazing front-flip half-court shot was a fluke last February, she proved otherwise Thursday night.

The cheerleader from tiny William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss. sank her signature shot again during halftime of her school's basketball game against fellow NAIA power Martin Methodist.

Arnau is uniquely qualified to sink this particular trick shot because she has a background in both cheerleading and soccer. A forward on the William Carey women's soccer team, Arnau has both a cheerleader's knack for tumbling and the soccer knowledge necessary to attempt a flip throw-in.

That unusual skill set resulted in some unexpected publicity after she hit the shot the first time at halftime of a game last February. Not only did video of her shot hit No. 1 on SportsCenter's top plays and amass more than one million hits on YouTube, Arnau also got to teach a member of the Harlem Globetrotters how to attempt her shot.

It remains to be seen if Arnau's shot will generate the same publicity this year, but it already hit No. 1 on SportsCenter again Thursday night. Not many people can say they've achieved that twice in their lives.
