Best of Midnight Madness: Jamie Dixon’s ‘Jackie Moon’ costume wins the night

Midnight Madness produces some memorable moments each year, so The Dagger is chronicling the best ones from Friday's lineup all weekend. If you spot something we missed, let us know here or here.

Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon ditched his usual pinstripe suits or Adidas warm-up gear Friday night in favor of some slightly less traditional attire. Yes, that really is Dixon in the above photo dressed as Jackie Moon, Will Ferrell's character from the 2008 movie "Semi-Pro." Dixon remained in his "Flint Tropics" warm-ups all night, introducing the 2012-13 Panthers and even conducting an interview on ESPN's national telecast. About the only thing Dixon didn't do is belt out Moon's single "Love Me Sexy" from the movie. Maybe next year, coach?
