Best of Midnight Madness: Charles Barkley coaxed into dancing at Auburn

Midnight Madness produces some memorable moments each year, so The Dagger is chronicling the best ones from this year's lineup. If you spot something we missed, let us know here or here.

Auburn's long-struggling basketball program lacks many recognizable names on its roster, so the Tigers imported some star power for their Midnight Madness event on Friday night. Comedian Mike Epps served as the emcee for the night. Rapper Ludacris performed four of his hit songs. And NBA legend and former Tigers standout Charles Barkley served as a celebrity judge for the dunk contest. The highlight of the night naturally had little to do with basketball. Instead it came when Epps shamed a reluctant Barkley into getting up from his courtside seat and busting a move to the delight of the crowd. Barkley's dancing was a crowd pleaser, but his most important act may have been throwing his support behind embattled Auburn coach Tony Barbee. "I know most of y’all came here for football," he told the crowd, "but Coach Barbee is going to turn this program around."
