Colin Kaepernick will make less than $1 million in the final season of his rookie contract in 2014, but he may make 18 times that much in 2015.
As reported during the NFL Scouting Combine, Kaepernick’s representation considers the “floor” for a contract extension to be $18 million annually.
Is he worth that much? That's the question Jim Kozimor asked Comcast SportsNet Bay Area 49ers Analyst Dennis Brown and 95.7 the Game's Mark Kreidler.
Brown: "To this franchise, he's worth everything ... with him and Harbaugh working together, what they've done for this 49er team, they've put them back into one of the top franchises ... I think he needs to paid for what he's worth ... and his value is right around what he's talking about."
Kreidler: "Well, Cutler got $18 million ... that's the going rate for franchise quarterbacks ... If I were Kaepernick I'd certainly jump on three years and $48 million..."
How much is Kaepernick worth, 49ers fans? How much do you think he will get annually in a contract extension?
