Manchester City beat West Bromwich Albion 3-1 on Boxing Day in snowy conditions at the Hawthorns.

The Citizens raced into a 3-0 lead in the first half, as goals from Fernando, Yaya Toure and David Silva did the damage. Brown Ideye pulled one back late on for the Baggies but City strolled to victory in heavy snow in the Midlands.
With the win, City are still three points behind Chelsea and sit in second place in the PL on 42 points. As for West Brom, they are in 15th and two points off the relegation zone.

With less then 10 minutes on the clock City went ahead as Foster dropped the ball straight to Fernando and the midfielder hooked home to make it 1-0. It was the former FC Porto midfielders first goal for City.
Julian Lescott was then penalized for a foul on David Silva, although he looked to have got the ball, and Toure slotted home the PK to make it 2-0 inside the first 13 minutes.
City continued to stroll towards victory in the first half as Fernando gave it to Jesus Navas, who rolled the ball into Silva who slotted home. 3-0 to City inside the first 35 minutes as the snow began to hammer down at the Hawthorns.
In the second half West Brom rallied to try and get back into the game as Joe Hart was called into duty on several occasions with Saido Berhaino testing the England international goalkeeper in tricky conditions.
