Brandon Meriweather was fined $42,000 last month for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Packers running back Eddie Lacy. In Sunday's win over the Bears, the Redskins' safety was flagged on two separate instances for hitting defenseless receivers in the head. One of those receivers was Brandon Marshall, who after the game suggested that the NFL take a more drastic approach to disciplining Meriweather.
In response to the personal foul penalties, Meriweather explained to reporters that he has actively tried to change the way he tackles.
