The big news from Reliant Stadium on Monday was the announcement that Case Keenum will be the starter against the Colts this Sunday.
But it won’t be just his first home start; it’ll be a playoff game too. Well, sort of. As Ed Reed said before the team broke for the bye week, “it’s playoff football from here out.” And that’s pretty fair.
Keenum, the 25-year-old former undrafted rookie, will lead the team in the most important game of the season. At 2-5 after the bye week, the Texans have a seemingly monumental task in front of them to reach the playoffs.
“Everybody’s optimistic,” Arian Foster said. “Anything can happen in this league. You don’t want to bank on that. Of course, you want to set your own fate. We just have to continue to work on us. Anything can happen. We’re just going to continue to work.”
