They’ve only one a single playoff series and lost almost 60 percent of their games over the past 19 seasons, but make no mistake about it: Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors have had a heavy influence on the current college basketball landscape.

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports joins SportsDash to explain this somewhat unconventional notion, saying that many players on top teams that are still alive in the tournament hail from the Greater Toronto Area.

Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins, Michigan’s Nik Stauskas, Iowa State’s Melvin Ejim and Naz Long are just a few of the players influenced by the high-flying Raptors that helped create a tidal wave of talent that is overwhelming the NCAA tournament.
