SportsDash: There was a chicken on the field in Cleveland

Justin Masterson brought his standard checklist to the outfield to shag batting practice balls on Wednesday night: glove, hat, sunglasses, live chicken.

The Indians right-hander got the bird from one of the team's clubhouse workers and passed it along as a gift to fellow pitcher Cody Allen, affectionately referred to as "Chicken Al" by his teammates. The Indians followed their poultry-themed pregame routine with a 6-4 win over the Orioles, prompting a movement to keep the chicken around.

"If we get on roll, that's going to be our mascot," outfielder Ryan Raburn said. "We're going to have to get him his own locker."

Dave Briggs and Carolyn Manno discuss the Indians' new lucky charm on SportsDash, as well as a development in the Aaron Hernandez saga, Time magazine coverboy Johnny Manziel and Brian Urlacher's recent confession.
