Robert Griffin III calls out his 'doubters' on Twitter

A couple of days after taking some heat for bad sliding technique and taking some gambles with his running style on Monday night against the Browns, Robert Griffin III put out a tweet that got some attention.

Reporters asked Griffin about the tweet at Redskins Park today. He didn’t have much to add to it.

“You can say what you want in that regard but as far as I’m concerned I said what I needed to say,” he said. “There’s no need to look into it. It’s right there. It’s on Facebook, it’s on Instagram, it’s on Twitter. It is what I believe and what our household deems necessary to go out every day and be successful.”

Griffin said that he would continue to participate on social media.

“It is what it is,” he said. “We spend a lot of our day focused on football so when we get a chance to unwind whether it’s watching reality TV or being on Twitter for five minutes in the day it’s not subtracting from what we do on the field or in the film room.”
