Position statement: Can Robert Griffin III stay healthy next season?

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said Wednesday morning that quarterback Robert Griffin III needs to learn how to slide. It’s a request easier said than done, however. Football players operate on instincts, and it’s tough to break habits, just ask Michael Vick. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has the instinct to avoid big hits, which is something Griffin will have to learn this offseason.
