Position statement: NFL must help reduce player DUIs

DUIs are an issue in the NFL that doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. NFL prospect Alec Ogletree was recently charged with a DUI, and cops believe Cowboys tackle Josh Brent may have been driving 134 mph in the accident that killed his teammate Jerry Brown. Consequences for players driving drunk needs to be harsh, and Mike Florio says the NFL and NLFPA must work together to ensure players are making the right choices away from the field.
