The NFL has passed a law this offseason that calls for the extension of the uprights by five feet, but according to the manufactures of the goal posts, it’s not going to be an easy job.
David Moxley, director of sports construction sales at goal post maker Sportsfield Specialties, recently shed light on the construction process and came away seemingly befuddled. “It’s actually pretty significant,” Moxley old Kent Somers from the Arizona Republic. “It isn’t as easy as putting 5-foot extensions on each side.”
Mike Florio shares in with Moxley’s confusion, wondering why the NFL passed a rule without answering every question into how they can enact and construct the change.
