One Thing to Know: Releasing Hernandez a big move for Patriots

Aaron Hernandez was arrested at his home this morning and less than 90 minutes later the Patriots released the tight end. Mike Florio compares to the situation to how the Raven’s dealt with Ray Lewis’ involvement with a murder investigation 13 years ago.

The Ravens stood behind Lewis every step of the way and it paid off for them. Meanwhile the Patriots cut ties with Hernandez quickly and decisively, which in a roundabout way says the Pats didn’t agree with the handling of the Lewis’ situation in Baltimore.
