Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said Nick Foles would take the standard number of first-team reps at quarterback this week, with rookie Matt Barkley picking up the scraps. Barkley had thrown for 158 yards on 17 of 26 passing in relief of a re-injured Michael Vick against the Giants.
An MRI taken Monday on Vick showed that the quarterback’s hamstring injury from Sunday’s 15-7 loss to the Giants is in the same spot as the one he sustained Oct. 6 at MetLife Stadium in the first showdown against the Giants, Kelly said.
“We’ll see how he goes,” Kelly said. “I don’t anticipate Mike being able to play this week. There’s nothing new from what happened the last time is how it was explained to me.”
