Mad Dash: Man finds out he has Dee Gordon's old number

Miami Marlins infielder Dee Gordon just capped off a stellar season by winning the batting title, and that's when the congratulatory texts started rolling in. Except they were rolling into the wrong phone. South Florida pitcher Joe Adel realized he must have gotten Gordon's old phone number recently when all the nice messages started popping up on his screen out of nowhere. No word from Gordon yet, though we wouldn't blame him for missing this story because he's too busy celebrating.

Apparently when Texas defensive back Kris Boyd retweeted someone telling him to transter to Texas A&M in the middle of Saturday's blowout loss to TCU, it was just the beginning of the Longhorns' Twitter woes. On Monday, multipe players aired out their grievances via social media, and it was not pretty, both in the message and the way it looked to everyone else. Granted, if Texas gets better from here, everyone will point to this week as a turning point, but we're guessing this isn't what coaches usually want their players doing on social media for all to see.

Houston must be confident about beating SMU this week because the Cougars aren't at all worried about the bulletin board material they're creating by literally walking on SMU jerseys all over their facilities. Houston is the favorite in the game, but still, we're not sure we'd sign off on letting this kind of motivational tactic see the light of day before the game is played. Then again, if the Cougars win by 50, maybe everyone should be doing this week.
