Mad Dash: Deflate-gate football could be worth $50k

We probably won't be talking about deflate-gate quite as much a year from now, or even a week from now, really. So what better time to capitalize on the buzz, and auction the alleged, infamous football that sparked the whole thing? The auction house Lelands.com is putting up the football that D'Qwell Jackson intercepted off Tom Brady in the AFC Championship, and the price of the pigskin might be as crazy as the hysteria around it. This strange piece of football history is intially valued at around $50,000, and we have no idea why anyone would pay that much to stick it in their collection. But we also don't have that much money burning a hole in our pocket.

You can't blame referees for ejecting players from games when they get into scuffles. The easy call when players from opposing teams start trading blows is to send both to an early shower. But what happens when the two guys fighting are on the same team? A couple D-League officials encountered that dilemma when Iowa Energy teammates Kalin Lucas and Jarnell Stokes flipped out on the bench during a break in game action. They were both sent packing.

Pregame routines are important to athletes, but what about fans? A young UNC basketball fan went viral this week for his national anthem salute, and the subsequent shooting shirt removal to reveal a full uniform. It's pretty awesome.
