Mad Dash: Canadian league infielder makes incredible catch after tripping

It takes clips like these to remember just how impressively skilled baseball players are, even if they're not playing in the big leagues. James Boddicker, an infielder for the Canadian independent Winnipeg Goldeyes, runs back to track a pop fly and stumbles at the wrong time. But then, he finds a way to twist back the opposite direction and snag the ball with his bare hand. Put most major league infielders in that position, and they'd tell you it's a tall order. The concentration and ability necessary to pull that off is absolutely worthy of our top story in the Mad Dash today.

Leah Church is a North Carolina high school junior, but very clearly a pro when it comes to nailing three-pointers. Church was attempting to break the mark for three-pointers in five minutes, but fell short of the 136 mark. She only hit 120 in her attempt, and we say that fully acknowledging the ridiculousness of the feat, which amounts to 24 made per minute, and more than we could probably hit in a full day at the gym. We fully expect Church to take another swing at this, and won't be surprised when she breaks the record.

Bubba Watson's hair is as much a part of his game as the pink driver he swings with reckless abandon, so it's hardly surprising that he knows a good flow when he sees it, and made it a point to say that Jason Day is one of his favorite golfers because Day's son, Dash, has one of the best heads of hair he's ever seen. After seeing the pictures of Dash ourselves, we think Watson's got a strong point.
