Mad Dash: Broncos’ practice player released after bizarre arrest

If, by some chance, you find yourself at the end of a raging night out that included too much drinking, disturbing the peace, aggressive behavior, and being cornered by the police, the last thing you would probably think to do is bring your boss into the mix, right? Then you wouldn't be John Boyett, a now ex-member of the Broncos' practice squad who allegedly decided to tell police to contact his boss, John Elway, as a last-ditch attempt to evade arrest after a bad night out. Not surprisingly, the Broncos released him.

Prepare to to witness the greatest three-foot putt you will ever see, sunk by some guy named Greg playing golf in Scotland. It's every bit as unpredictable and random as you'd expect based on that description.

Random would be a good word to describe Auburn head basketball coach Bruce Pearl interrupting a class on campus to stage a mini-pep rally to get students excited for hoops season. To the shock of no one that has ever witnessed Pearl in action, it was as full of energy and as inspiring as any interaction he's ever had with athletes or students on any campus when it comes to school spirit. No overalls this time, though. Which is a little disappointing.
